Awdheegle, (SONNA) – Somali National Army’s elite Danab forces, supported by international air partners, carried out a planned operation in Awdheegle district of Lower Shabelle region.
During the operation, the forces destroyed tunnels and hideouts used by al-Shabaab militants, killing more than 100 fighters.
The operation is part of the ongoing offensive aimed at eradicating al-Shabaab and strengthening security for the Somali people.
