Bay (SONNA): The National Intelligence and Security Agency (NISA) forces, with the support of local residents, have successfully dismantled a stronghold of the extremist faction in the village of Taflow, located 28 kilometers south of Berdale district in the Bay region.

The operation, characterized by precision and collaboration, resulted in the elimination of 9 members of the extremist group. This strategic victory is a testament to the effectiveness of the intelligence and security forces of Somalia, who are committed to safeguarding the nation’s stability and peace.

In addition to neutralizing the immediate threat, the army’s efforts led to the recovery of a significant cache of weapons, including 7 AK 47 rifles, one BKM rifle, and several boxes of ammunition. The successful operation underscores the resilience and determination of the Somali forces and local communities in their ongoing battle against forces that seek to disrupt the country’s progress.

The incident marks a critical moment in the fight against insurgency, demonstrating the combined strength of NISA and the local populace in confronting and overcoming threats to national security.
