Mogadishu, (SONNA) – The President of the Federal Republic of Somalia, H.E Hassan Sheikh Mohamud, received the diplomatic credentials from the new ambassadors of Djibouti, Canada and Cuba who were appointed to Somalia.
In an event held at the Presidency, the President received the credentials of the Ambassadors; Mr. Mohamed Ibrahim Yusuf, the new Ambassador of Djibouti, Mr. Christopher Thornley, the new Ambassador of Canada and Mr. Juan Manuel Rodriguez, who is the Ambassador of Cuba to Somalia.
The ambassadors shared with the President messages from the Presidents and leaders of their countries, showing their efforts to strengthen the historic relationship they share with the Government and the Somali people.
The President and the Ambassadors discussed strengthening of diplomatic relations and the cooperation of the Federal Government of Somalia with their countries, and he noted that the restoration of relations with Cuba reflects the realization of his plan of Somali in Agreement with the World.
