MOGADISHU, SONNA – Somali President Hassan Sheikh Mohamud met with Chinese Ambassador Wang Yi at the Presidential Palace today, reinforcing the deepening ties between Somalia and China.
The meeting built upon the recently elevated Strategic Partnership announced during the Forum on China-Africa Cooperation (FOCAC) Summit, highlighting the growing collaboration between the two nations.
Discussions centered on enhancing bilateral cooperation in key areas, including security, development, and economic recovery. Both leaders emphasized a shared commitment to sovereignty, unity, and mutual prosperity as the foundation of their partnership.
This engagement reflects Somalia’s continued efforts to strengthen international relations and attract strategic partnerships to support its development and stability agenda.
