Mogadishu, SONNA – The President of the Federal Republic of Somalia, His Excellency Hassan Sheikh Mohamud, has reinforced the Federal Government’s commitment to launching a decisive operation against ISIS terrorists hiding in the Al-Miskaad Mountains in the Bari region.

During a high-level meeting, President Mohamud commended the historic achievements made by the Somali National Army and the people of Puntland State in their ongoing efforts to combat terrorism. He emphasized the importance of unity and resilience in the fight against extremist groups threatening the nation’s stability.

The President directed the Federal Government to expedite the implementation of measures aimed at supporting Somali forces engaged in liberating areas under ISIS control in the Bari region. He praised the bravery of the Somali heroes leading the charge and reiterated the government’s unwavering commitment to eradicating terrorism from every corner of the country.

“The Somali government and its people, united in purpose, will defeat these terrorists who seek to spread fear and division. We will liberate every inch of Somali territory,” President Mohamud declared.

In addition to military efforts, the President highlighted the government’s focus on strengthening the capabilities of the armed forces and improving medical care for veterans injured in the fight against terrorism. He stressed that the Federal Government remains dedicated to combating international terrorism and ensuring the safety and security of all Somali citizens.

The call to action comes as part of Somalia’s broader strategy to eliminate terrorist threats and restore peace and stability across the nation. The President’s remarks underscore the government’s resolve to confront ISIS and other extremist groups, while also addressing the needs of those who have sacrificed in the ongoing battle for liberation.

As operations intensify in the Bari region, the Somali government continues to rally both national and international support in its mission to eradicate terrorism and secure a peaceful future for the country.
