Mogadishu, SONNA – Two senior Somali military officers have successfully completed a year-long training program at US military institutions. Brigadier General Ahmed Abdullahi Sheikh and Lieutenant Colonel Abdullahi Omar Mohamed graduated with specialized training in strategy, professionalism, and human rights.
The United States Ambassador to Somalia, Riley, extended congratulations to the officers upon their graduation. The training is part of a broader initiative aimed at enhancing the capabilities of the Somali National Army through advanced education for its leadership.
This program is seen as a crucial step in revitalizing the Somali army and building its capacity to address the country’s security challenges.
