Mogadishu (SONNA): Soldiers from the 231st Battalion of the 23rd Military Police Brigade of the Somali National Army, who operate in the capital Mogadishu, responded to a request from a young girl with special needs by donating a wheelchair to assist with her mobility.
The Commander of the 231st Battalion of the 23rd Military Police Brigade, Lt. Col. Mohamed Abdi Hussein (Koronto), who visited the girl at her home, said that when her message reached them, the soldiers decided to contribute part of their salaries to help her.
He noted that the armed forces always stand alongside the Somali community, particularly vulnerable people who require support and assistance.
For her part, the young girl expressed gratitude to the soldiers for their donation and support, saying the wheelchair was something she urgently needed to make her daily activities easier.
The gesture reflects the compassion and sense of responsibility of the Somali National Army, which continues to fight the enemy while also supporting and serving the Somali people.
