Mogadishu (SONNA) – The Somali National Army (SNA) continues to serve not only on the frontlines against terrorism but also in supporting communities facing daily hardships.
Elite Gor Gor Commandos, led by Colonel Saahid Farah Jama Jareer, Commander of the 1st Gor Gor Battalion, carried out a water distribution exercise for residents of Gumarre and Xagaay-deeg in Middle Shabelle region.
Local communities expressed their gratitude to the soldiers for extending much-needed assistance and demonstrating state presence in their areas.
The SNA leadership reiterated its dual commitment: defeating al Shabaab militants and assisting vulnerable civilians across Somalia.
