Beledweyn, (SONNA) – The Somali National Army and local heroes successfully eliminated number of militants in the areas of Beerayabaal and Aboorey, which are under the jurisdiction of Buuloburde district in the Hiiraan region. The operation resulted in the display of numerous militant bodies, along with seized weapons and combat vehicles.
At dawn, the forces thwarted a desperate ambush attack by the militants on the same locations where they were eliminated. The pursuit of the fleeing militants continues in the bushy areas along the Shabelle River.
The officers leading the ongoing operation in Hiiraan, which inflicted heavy losses on the militants, informed the National Media that they will soon share details on how the militants’ plot was foiled and will present the official casualty figures inflicted on the militants.
