MOGADISHU (SONNA) – The Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Defense, Mr. Abdifatah Abdulkadir Farah, today presided over the official transfer of command at the Somali National Army (SNA) Hospital.
The brief ceremony, held at the hospital’s headquarters, saw the newly appointed director, Colonel Dr. Mustafa Hussein Abdulle, formally assume his post from the outgoing director, Colonel Dr. Saddam Abdullahi Osman.
In his remarks, the Permanent Secretary extended his sincere gratitude to the outgoing director, Col. Dr. Saddam, for his diligent and transparent service during his tenure. Mr. Farah specifically highlighted Col. Dr. Saddam’s significant role in improving the military’s health services and enhancing the professional capacity of the hospital’s medical staff.
Turning to the new director, the Permanent Secretary issued a charge to Col. Dr. Mustafa, urging him to execute the duties entrusted to him with integrity and dedication. He stressed that the new leadership must focus on the continued development of the army’s health services, ensuring that the National Forces receive effective and high-quality medical care.
The handover ceremony was witnessed by several key officials, including the Director of the Military Health Service Department at the Ministry of Defense, Senior Colonel Dr. Mahad Abdullahi Nur, as well as doctors and various staff members of the SNA Hospital.
