Gedo, (SONNA) — The Somali National Army (SNA) has carried out a well-planned security operation in the Ceel-Cilaan area, located approximately 30 kilometers east of Bardheere district in the Gedo region.
According to military officials, the operation was successfully executed and resulted in the killing of five militants who had been repeatedly targeting and harassing civilians in the area.
During the operation, SNA forces completely destroyed militant hideouts and bases that were being used to organize acts of insecurity and violence against local residents.
The Somali National Army reaffirmed its commitment to defending civilians and eliminating armed groups that threaten peace and stability. The military also called on members of the public to continue cooperating with security agencies to ensure lasting security in their communities.
