Mogadishu, (SONNA) – The Somali National Army (SNA), in collaboration with local forces, has carried out intensive military operations in the Middle and Lower Shabelle regions over the past 24 hours, inflicting heavy losses on Al-Shabaab militants.
The first operation took place last night in the Geelgub area of Middle Shabelle, where SNA forces launched an assault on an Al-Shabaab gathering point, killing 40 militants, including senior commanders.
In a separate operation in Boos Caduur, a village in Aadan Yabaal district, local security forces eliminated two Al-Shabaab members.
Meanwhile, early this morning, the Somali National Army launched another offensive in the Sabiid and Caanoole areas of Lower Shabelle, delivering significant casualties to the terrorist group.
These operations are part of the ongoing military campaign to eradicate Al-Shabaab and restore security across Somalia.
