Mogadishu, (SONNA) – The Minister of Justice and Constitutional Affairs of the Federal Government of Somalia, H.E. Hassan Moallim Mohamud, met with Acting UN Special Representative James Swan to discuss Somalia’s judicial reforms and constitutional review process.
The discussions focused on finalizing the remaining five chapters of the constitution, establishing the Federal Supreme Court, and strengthening the country’s justice system. Both sides also explored ways to enhance institutional capacity and ensure an effective legal framework.
Minister Hassan Moallim Mohamud expressed appreciation for the UN’s ongoing support, particularly in advancing governance and legal reforms in Somalia. He emphasized the importance of collaboration in building a fair and transparent justice system.
