Mogadishu(SONNA)-22 November, 2021. On the night of Saturday November 20th a desperate attack was carried out by a weakening terrorist organization resulting in the death of Abdiaziz Mohamud Guled, the Director of Radio Mogadishu, and wounding Sharma’arke M. Warsame, the Director of Somali National TV (SNTV), and the driver of Mr. Guled. The attack was an attempt to stop those who are actively working against extremism within Somalia to increase stability, and security within our borders.
The Minister of Information, and the Government condemns all forms of violence and intimidation against the Somali people. As our nation continues to work towards building a safer atmosphere for our people, we will continue to combat violent extremism in Somalia. The actions of these terrorists will not deter those within our communities that are constantly working against terrorist activities within Somalia, because an attack on one of us is an attack on all Somalis.
