Mogadishu, (SONNA) – In honor of International Workers’ Day, the Ministry of Labor and Education of the Federal Government of Somalia has extended heartfelt congratulations to Somali workers, recognizing their contributions to the nation’s development.
The Minister of Labor and Social Affairs, Hon. Yusuf Mohamed Adan, praised the resilience and dedication of Somali workers, emphasizing the government’s commitment to protecting their rights and promoting employment opportunities.
“Somali workers are heroes in nation-building, and I commend them for their hard work, integrity, and resilience,” stated Minister Yusuf in his address.
Additionally, the Minister of Education, Hon. Farah Sheikh Abdulkadir, expressed appreciation for educators and school staff, acknowledging their pivotal role in shaping the younger generation and advancing the country’s education system.
“Today is a day to celebrate your talent, dedication, and patience in developing the country and supporting future generations. Teachers, school administrators, technical and clerical staff—you are the backbone of our society’s growth,” said Minister Farah.
The Ministry reiterated its commitment to improving education quality and expanding opportunities for learning, wishing workers continued success and progress in their careers.
International Workers’ Day, celebrated annually on May 1st, serves as a global tribute to laborers and their indispensable role in economic and social development.
