Nairobi, Kenya – A high-level delegation from the Federal Government of Somalia recently attended a significant conference organized by the International Air Transport Association (IATA) in Nairobi, Kenya. The delegation was led by the Minister of Transport and Civil Aviation, His Excellency Mohamed Farah Nuuh, and included the Director General of the Somali Civil Aviation Authority, Mr. Aahmed Ma’alin Hassan.
The IATA conference focused on critical aspects of civil aviation development, including infrastructure advancements and the harmonization of aviation policies to align with international best practices. During the conference, the Somali delegation engaged in discussions with various leaders and stakeholders. They also held a productive bilateral meeting with Kenya’s Minister of Transport and Infrastructure, Mr. Davis Chirchir. The meeting centered on strengthening regional cooperation in civil aviation and exploring avenues to improve transport connectivity between the neighboring nations of Somalia and Kenya.
