BERLIN, SONNA – A Somali delegation led by Ahmed Said Mohamed, Director General of the Immigration and Citizenship Agency, held key meetings with German officials, including leaders from the Ministry of the Interior, the Federal Police, and Berlin Brandenburg International Airport.
Accompanied by Somalia’s Deputy Ambassador to Germany, the delegation focused on strengthening bilateral cooperation in immigration. Discussions with the Ministry of the Interior highlighted the importance of recognizing Somali passports and enhancing ties between the two nations in migration management.
During a visit to Berlin Brandenburg International Airport, the delegation examined Germany’s immigration systems and processes, gaining insights into best practices for overseeing migrant entry and border management.
These engagements align with Somalia’s efforts to modernize passport management and improve international relations. The initiative aims to enhance collaboration on immigration policies and align Somalia’s practices with global standards.
