Mogadishu (SONNA) – Somali Defense Minister, Abdulqadir Mohamed Nur, held a press conference today in Mogadishu to address the recent attack in the Elbaraf area of the Middle Shabelle region, which resulted in the deaths of several Somali National Army soldiers.

During the press conference, Minister Abdulqadir expressed his deepest condolences to the families and friends of the fallen soldiers and conveyed his wishes for a swift recovery to those injured in the attack.

“I share the grief with the families and friends of the heroes who sacrificed their lives to defend the country. I wish the injured soldiers a speedy recovery,” stated Minister Abdulqadir.

The defense minister also emphasized that immediate action will be taken against the perpetrators of the attack, assuring the public that those responsible will be apprehended within 48 hours.

“I want to make it clear here that anyone involved in this act will not remain free in Somali territory,” the minister asserted.

This statement reflects the Somali government’s resolve to maintain security and hold accountable those who threaten the nation’s stability.
