Mogadishu, Somalia – The Somali Cabinet, during its weekly meeting, has given its nod to three pivotal agreements with Tanzania. The session, presided over by Prime Minister Hamsa Abdi Barre, marked a milestone in the ongoing cooperation between the two nations.
The agreements encompass a broad range of areas including a general cooperation agreement aimed at enhancing mutual interests, a prisoner transfer agreement to facilitate the repatriation of incarcerated individuals, and a tourism cooperation agreement set to boost travel and cultural exchange between Somalia and Tanzania.
In addition to these accords, the Council of Ministers also reviewed and discussed reports from the Ministries of Internal Security and Defense. These reports detailed the current security situation, ongoing stabilization efforts, and the relentless campaign against the Khawarij insurgent groups.
The approval of these agreements signifies a forward leap in the diplomatic and strategic partnership between Somalia and Tanzania, promising a future of shared prosperity and security.
