Somalia, UNDP Discuss Strengthening Cooperation in Livestock Sector

Mogadishu, (SONNA) — The Minister of Livestock, Forestry and Range of the Federal Government of Somalia, H.E. Hassan Hussein Mohamed, met with the Head of UNDP Somalia, Christophoros Politis, to discuss strengthening cooperation and collaboration between the two sides.

The meeting focused on advancing shared development priorities under Somalia’s National Transformation Plan (NTP), particularly plans aimed at strengthening the productive economy and the livestock sector.

Discussions also covered technical cooperation, livestock sector development and support for livestock production, with the Ministry and UNDP seeking to strengthen their partnership in these areas.

UNDP Somalia has maintained longstanding cooperation with the Ministry in supporting community development, livelihood opportunities and efforts to advance Somalia’s livestock sector.
