Speaker of the House of the People Meets Chinese Ambassador to Somalia

Mogadishu, (SONNA) — The Speaker of the House of the People of the Federal Republic of Somalia, H.E. Abdulkadir Mohamed Nur, received the Ambassador of the People’s Republic of China to Somalia, H.E. Wang Yu, at his office.

The meeting focused on further strengthening the longstanding friendship between Somalia and China, particularly by enhancing cooperation and ties between the two countries’ legislative institutions.

The Speaker expressed appreciation to the Government and people of China for their longstanding friendship and support for Somalia, particularly China’s consistent respect for and support of Somalia’s sovereignty, unity, independence and territorial integrity.

H.E. Abdulkadir Mohamed Nur reaffirmed his commitment to further strengthening the friendship and cooperation between the two countries and their peoples.
