Mogadishu, (SONNA) – The Embassy of the Federal Republic of Somalia in China is inviting Somali businesses to participate in the 7th China-Arab States Expo, set to take place from August 28–31, 2025, in Yinchuan, Ningxia Province, China.

As one of China’s most influential trade and investment platforms, the Expo brings together government agencies, international investors, and companies from across China and the Arab world. For Somali businesses, it represents a major opportunity to showcase their products and services, form new partnerships, explore export potential, and access cutting-edge technology and innovations.

“The 7th China-Arab States Expo is not just a trade fair—it’s a gateway for Somali businesses to engage with global markets, adopt cutting-edge technologies, and forge meaningful partnerships that can drive sustainable growth back home,” said Dr. Hodan Osman, Somali Ambassador to China. “We strongly encourage our business community to take full advantage of this opportunity.”

The event will feature exhibitions in key sectors, including:

  • Clean Energy
  • Digital Economy
  • Specialty Commodities
  • AI, Gaming, Smart Meteorology, and Cross-Border E-commerce

In addition to exhibitions, the Expo will host high-level matchmaking sessions aimed at connecting Somali businesses with global companies, investors, and institutions. These meetings will focus on:

  • Trade
  • Agriculture
  • Technology
  • Healthcare
  • Tourism and climate services

This year’s Expo comes at a time of growing trade between Somalia and China, with a 20% increase recorded in the past six months. China has also granted full zero-tariff access to Somali exports—an unprecedented opportunity to promote Somali fish, livestock, organic foods, and eco-friendly goods on the international stage.

The opportunity that the Somali Businesses will find include getting new networks, learn new latest tech and advancements in key fields and to showcase their products and services and create partnerships.

The Somali Embassy emphasized that participating in the Expo will allow Somali businesses to:

  • Expand their market reach
  • Showcase Somali innovation and resilience
  • Learn about the latest global advancements in key industries
  • Network with high-value international partners

How to register:
