Mogadishu, SONNA – The Federal Government of Somalia received a substantial shipment of humanitarian aid from the Turkish government, aimed at assisting the impoverished Somali population. The aid, comprising 3,000 tons of food, tents, and other essential supplies, marks a significant gesture of support and solidarity.
The aid shipment was officially received by the Deputy Prime Minister of Somalia, Salah Ahmed Jama, alongside the Commissioner of the National Disaster Management Agency, Mohamud Macallin Abdulle. The Turkish ambassador to Somalia and other dignitaries were also present at the ceremony.
Deputy Prime Minister Jama expressed heartfelt gratitude to the Turkish government for its unwavering cooperation and support, which are rooted in a strong bond of brotherhood and friendship between the two nations.
The Somali government continues to emphasize the importance of international partnerships in addressing the country’s pressing humanitarian needs and fostering development.
