Mogadishu(SONNA)-Somali National Army’s Gor-gor unit killed 25 Al-Shabaab militants and injured others after conducting well coordinated operation in Barire location in lower Shabelle region, SONNA reported Monday.
Army Commander, Captain Abdullahi Nageye told Somali National News Agency that operation came short after the army learned intelligence report that the terrorist fighters were regrouping at areas between Tawakal and Barire.
He said the army destroyed the terrorists in a short confrontation, killing 25 members and inuring more others during the operation.
