Interior Minister Meets Newly Elected National Peacebuilders Network Leadership

MOGADISHU (SONNA) – The Minister of Interior, Federal Affairs and Reconciliation, H.E. Ali Yusuf Ali Hosh, has received the newly elected Executive Committee of the National Independent Insider Peacebuilders Network (NIPN) at the Ministry’s headquarters in Mogadishu.

The meeting focused on the network’s responsibilities, particularly its role in connecting Somali peacebuilders, strengthening community trust and supporting locally led reconciliation efforts.

The Minister underscored that rebuilding trust among communities and advancing reconciliation remain central to Somalia’s efforts to achieve lasting peace and stability. He reaffirmed the Federal Government’s commitment to prioritising these efforts.

The meeting marks a step towards the implementation of NIPN’s mandate following the election of its Executive Committee.
