Abu Dhabi (SONNA): The Speaker of the Parliament of the Federal Republic of Somalia, Mr. Sheikh Adan Mohamed Nur Madobe, met with his counterpart, Mr. Saqr Ghobash, the Speaker of the United Arab Emirates Parliament, in Abu Dhabi today. This high-level meeting highlights the commitment of both nations to enhance their bilateral relations, particularly through parliamentary cooperation.

The discussions centered on fortifying the relationship between the two governments, with a special focus on the collaboration between their respective parliaments. Both leaders emphasized the importance of mutual cooperation and explored various avenues to promote and strengthen these ties.

Speaker Sheikh Adan Madobe expressed his gratitude for the official invitation and the warm reception extended by the UAE Parliament. He highlighted the significance of such meetings in fostering a deeper understanding and cooperation between the two countries.

Accompanying Speaker Madobe was a delegation that included members of the Friendship Committee of the Parliaments of Somalia and the United Arab Emirates, as well as representatives from the Somali Parliament to the Arab League Parliament. This delegation’s presence further signifies the importance of the meeting in promoting inter-parliamentary dialogue and collaboration.
