Mogadishu, (SONNA) — The Commissioner of the Somali Disaster Management Agency (SoDMA), Mahamuud Macalin, today received at SoDMA headquarters the Executive Director of Läkarmissionen International (LM International), Mrs. Josephine Sundqvist, along with a delegation from the Sweden-based organization, which focuses on humanitarian aid and global development.
The meeting began with SoDMA presenting the delegation a brief overview of the agency’s history, national priorities, and flagship projects aligned with both national and agency-specific strategic plans.
For their part, the LM International delegation provided an update on the organization’s global operations, with particular emphasis on its humanitarian and development initiatives in Africa.
Both sides concluded the meeting by agreeing to sign a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) outlining areas for future collaboration between the two agencies.
