Mogadishu, (SONNA) — The Commissioner of the Somali Disaster Management Agency (SoDMA), Mohamud Macalin Abdulle, today held an important meeting with Ahmed Aden Hameed, Head of the Qatar Red Crescent Office in Somalia.
The discussions focused on strengthening cooperation between the two institutions, particularly in disaster preparedness and response, humanitarian assistance, and building the capacity and skills of SoDMA staff to effectively manage emergency situations.
The Head of the Qatar Red Crescent commended SoDMA for its consistent efforts in addressing humanitarian challenges, reaffirming the organization’s commitment to continue supporting development initiatives and providing urgent assistance to vulnerable communities.
For his part, the SoDMA Commissioner highlighted the importance of sustained collaboration, stressing that the partnership between the two agencies will help deliver durable and practical solutions to reduce the vulnerability of Somali communities.
SoDMA reiterated its commitment to expanding cooperation with both international and local partners in order to enhance the safety, resilience, and well-being of the Somali people.
