Mogadishu, Somalia (SONNA) – The Somali Disaster Management Agency (SoDMA) has announced the appointment of Prof. Mohamed Ahmed Mohamed (Adale) as the new Assistant for Sustainable Solutions for People Displaced by Disasters. The appointment was made by SoDMA Commissioner Mr. Mohamud Maallin Abdulle.
Prof. Adale brings over 20 years of experience to the role, having previously worked with the Somali Red Crescent Society. His extensive background in disaster management and humanitarian aid is expected to significantly contribute to developing and implementing sustainable solutions for those displaced by various disasters in Somalia.
Commissioner Abdulle expressed confidence in Prof. Adale’s ability to address the complex challenges faced by displaced populations, emphasizing the importance of sustainable and long-term strategies in disaster management.
This appointment marks a significant step forward in SoDMA’s efforts to enhance its response to the needs of displaced persons and to build resilience within affected communities.
