Mogadishu, Somalia – The Somali National Disaster Management Agency (SoDMA) and the LM International organization have formalized their partnership by signing a new memorandum of understanding. The agreement is designed to enhance cooperation on disaster management and response initiatives throughout the country.
The agreement was signed by SoDMA Commissioner Mohamud Moalim Abdulle and LM International’s Program Coordinator, Nasra Mohamed Ahmed. This collaboration is set to significantly improve SoDMA’s capacity for managing and implementing projects related to disaster prevention and response. A key component of the partnership is a focus on building the skills of SoDMA staff through targeted training and knowledge-sharing initiatives.
This strategic partnership is expected to strengthen the capabilities of both organizations, ultimately leading to more effective and coordinated aid delivery for communities affected by disasters in Somalia.
