Mogadishu, (SONNA) — Somali National Army (SNA) forces, backed by international partners, have intensified operations against Al-Shabaab terrorists, killing senior commanders and liberating new areas in the past 24 hours.
The SNA freed Awdheegle, Raqayle, Shaangarre, and Malabo in the Lower Shabelle region, marking another victory in the ongoing offensive against the terrorist group.
Meanwhile, heavy airstrikes in Jilib, Mubaarak, Ugunji, and Kunya-Barrow killed several senior Al-Shabaab figures, including Mohamed Osman Mohamed (Tuutax), the group’s deputy head of the Amniyat and chief of explosives procurement.
