Mogadishu, (SONNA) – The Commander of the Somali National Army’s Ground Forces, Major General Sahal Abdullahi Omar, who has been stationed on the frontlines in the Middle Shabelle region for the past few days, conducted an inspection today to boost ongoing efforts to eliminate Al-Shabaab.
During his visit, Major General Sahal commended the Somali National Army (SNA) officers stationed at defensive positions for their readiness and commitment to eradicating Al-Shabaab from their remaining hideouts in the region.
Following the inspection, the commander joined the troops and field officers for Iftar at their defensive positions, encouraging them as they continue their operations against Al-Shabaab during the holy month of Ramadan.
