Middle Shabelle, SONNA – The Somali National Army (SNA) has carried out a planned security operation in areas under the Rage-Eelle district of Middle Shabelle region as part of the ongoing national campaign to eliminate Kharijite militants and safeguard civilian populations.
The operation, executed by units from the 10th Division and the 1st Division’s Gorgor Commandos, targeted militant hideouts in the villages of Daba-Gaab and Habal-Dub, located approximately 20 kilometers west of Rage-Eelle district.
Military officials confirmed that the operation successfully disrupted and crippled enemy elements operating in the area.
According to the commander of the 10th Division, 1st Division, Gorgor Commandos, Lieutenant Colonel Abdikarim Rashid, forces conducted further reconnaissance missions, mine clearance, and security inspections in key locations frequently used by local residents to ensure their safety and freedom of movement.
The Federal Republic of Somalia continues to intensify operations against Kharijites groups across multiple regions. Authorities reaffirm that these operations will persist until comprehensive security and stability are restored throughout the region.
