Mogadishu, SONNA – The Speaker of the Senate of the Federal Republic of Somalia, Mr. Abdi Hashi Abdullahi, received a warm welcome upon his return to the country on Thursday at Aden Adde International Airport in Mogadishu.
Mr. Abdi Hashi, who had been abroad for medical treatment, was greeted by a distinguished group of officials and dignitaries. Among those present were the First Deputy Speaker of the Senate, Mr. Ali Shabban Ibrahim, the Second Deputy Speaker of the Parliament, Mr. Abdullahi Omar Abshirow, former President of Somalia, Mr. Sheikh Sharif Sheikh Ahmed, former Deputy Prime Minister Mahdi Mohamed Guled Khadar, as well as several Senators and Members of Parliament.
The welcoming ceremony highlighted the respect and support for Mr. Abdi Hashi within the Somali political landscape. His return marks a significant moment for the Senate and the broader political community in Somalia.
