Mogadishu, SONNA — Kingdom of Saudi Arabia has reiterated its strong and unequivocal support for the unity, sovereignty, and territorial integrity of the Federal Republic of Somalia, rejecting any actions that undermine the country’s constitutional order.
During a Saudi Cabinet meeting chaired by the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, His Majesty King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, the Kingdom clearly expressed its firm opposition to any attempts to establish parallel institutions or administrations that contradict the unity of the Federal Republic of Somalia and threaten its territorial integrity.
The Cabinet emphasized Saudi Arabia’s rejection of any form of division or actions that undermine Somalia’s sovereignty, national unity, and political independence, reaffirming its principled stance in support of Somalia’s internationally recognized status as a single, unified state.
In this context, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia also welcomed the decisive positions and resolutions previously issued by the League of Arab States and the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC), which fully support Somalia’s unity, sovereignty, and territorial integrity.
Saudi Arabia’s position aligns with broader regional and international consensus affirming respect for Somalia’s sovereignty and the principles of non-interference, while reinforcing solidarity with the Somali people and their legitimate aspirations for unity, stability, and peace.
The statement underscores the Kingdom’s continued commitment to standing alongside Somalia within Arab and Islamic frameworks, in accordance with international law and established regional charters.
