Mogadishu (SONNA) – The global hotel management company, Rotana, has officially announced the construction of its first five-star hotel in Mogadishu. This landmark development is set to elevate the city’s hospitality standards and provide a range of modern services to meet various business and social needs.
The announcement was made during a signing ceremony witnessed by Somali Ambassador to the United Arab Emirates, Amb. Hussein Abdi Halane, along with other officials. The agreement was signed between Premier Bank CEO Jabriil Hassan Mohamed and executives from Rotana.
The project, part of the expansive Gateway Complex Project in Mogadishu, will include not only the Rotana Hotel but also a host of additional facilities. These will encompass conference halls, a hospital, a school, dormitories, and a mall, making it a comprehensive hub for business, healthcare, education, and shopping.
His Excellency Hassan Sheikh Mohamud, President of the Federal Republic of Somalia, recently inaugurated the Gateway Complex Project. This initiative is seen as a significant step towards the modernization and economic development of Somalia, showcasing the country’s commitment to fostering international investments.
