Bari, (SONNA) – Puntland Security Forces launched a security operation today targeting remnants of ISIS militants in Togga Jeceel and Togga Ina Cidoole, Bari region.
During the counterterrorism operation, security forces discovered and removed landmines planted by the militants, which were intended to harm civilians.
Additionally, Puntland’s Darawish forces took control of former ISIS strongholds in the targeted valleys, dismantling their defensive positions. The military has released images showcasing the seized militant fortifications.
This operation is part of Puntland’s ongoing efforts to eliminate extremist threats and ensure regional stability.
