Mogadishu, (SONNA) — The Prime Minister of the Federal Government of Somalia, H.E Hamza Abdi Barre, on Friday evening visited prominent Somali scholar Sheikh Abdirashid Sheikh Ali Suufi at his residence in Mogadishu. The Prime Minister briefed the Sheikh on the overall situation of the country, with both discussing efforts to raise public awareness, the role of religious leaders in peace-building, and strengthening national unity. Sheikh Suufi offered prayers for the nation and the Somali people.
The Prime Minister also spent time with members of the public who were unwinding after the week’s work and gathering in popular social areas of the capital. The interaction between the Prime Minister and the public was marked by joy and excitement, as citizens welcomed the rare opportunity to spend time with the country’s leader.
