Mogadishu, (SONNA) – The Prime Minister of the Federal Government of Somalia, H.E. Hamza Abdi Barre, today received the new European Union Ambassador to Somalia, Francesca Di Mauro, at his office in Mogadishu.
The discussions centered on strengthening relations between Somalia and the European Union, with emphasis on peace, development, and state reconstruction.
Prime Minister Hamza congratulated the ambassador on her appointment and underscored the importance of deepening Somalia–EU cooperation.
Ambassador Di Mauro, for her part, thanked the Somali government and people for the warm welcome, affirming her commitment to further enhance cooperation across key priority areas shared by Somalia and the European Union.
