Mogadishu, July 27, 2025 – The Prime Minister of the Federal Government of Somalia, H.E. Hamza Abdi Barre, received the Deputy Director General of Operations at the International Organization for Migration (IOM), Ms. Ugochi Daniels, for discussions on strengthening cooperation and accelerating the implementation of IOM-led programs across the country.
The talks focused on aligning ongoing IOM initiatives with Somalia’s National Transformation Plan (NTP 2025–2029), ensuring that development efforts are streamlined and responsive to national priorities. The Prime Minister expressed appreciation for IOM’s continued support and emphasized the importance of expanding impactful projects that contribute to Somalia’s progress.
Ms. Daniels reaffirmed IOM’s commitment to sustaining its operations in Somalia and supporting the country’s development and stabilization agenda.
