Mogadishu, (SONNA) — The Prime Minister of the Federal Government of Somalia, H.E. Hamza Abdi Barre, participated in the celebration of the 55th anniversary of the Somali Custodian Corps, extending congratulations to various units within the forces.
During the event, the Prime Minister emphasized the critical role played by the Custodian Corps in the reform of the officers and the advancement of the justice system, particularly in rehabilitating prisoners, providing education, and ensuring the security of the nation’s prisons.
“I extend my congratulations to all the Commanders, Deputy Commanders, the dedicated personnel of the Somali Custodian Corps, their spouses, and children. I hope you continue your noble efforts for our people and country and strengthen your commitment,” stated Prime Minister Hamza.
As part of the 55th anniversary celebrations, Prime Minister Hamza inaugurated a new hospital established by the Custodian Corps, highlighting his government’s commitment to addressing the various needs of the service.
Additionally, in his speech, the Prime Minister praised the brave forces of Puntland who are actively fighting against the terrorist group ISIS, assuring that the Somali government stands firmly behind them with full support, alongside the Somali people who are united in their efforts and resources.
