MOGADISHU, Somalia – The Prime Minister of the Federal Republic of Somalia, H.E. Hamza Abdi Barre, has officially appointed Mr. Abdulkadir Elmi Ali as the new Director General of the Ministry of Interior, Federal Affairs, and Reconciliation. The appointment was confirmed today through an official decree from the Office of the Prime Minister.
This strategic appointment comes as the Federal Government seeks to strengthen the administrative capacity of key ministries central to the nation’s governance and stabilization agenda. The Ministry of Interior plays a critical role in federalization processes, local governance, and national reconciliation efforts.
In his directive, Prime Minister Hamza Abdi Barre charged the newly appointed Director General with the responsibility of executing his duties with the highest standards of integrity, transparency, and diligence. The Prime Minister emphasized the importance of efficient public service delivery as the government accelerates its development goals.
