Yinchuan, SONNA – The Prime Minister of the Federal Republic of Somalia, His Excellency Hamza Abdi Barre, has paid an official visit to the Ningdong Energy and Chemical Industry Complex in Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region, a key development zone and one of China’s leading centers for industrial innovation and energy transformation.
The visit was aimed at enabling Somalia to benefit from Ningxia’s advanced experience in developing diversified energy industries, driving industrial growth, and transitioning toward clean energy sources, in line with Somalia’s National Transformation Plan.
Prime Minister Hamza Abdi Barre praised Ningxia as a model of how energy and industrial development can be achieved through well-structured, sustainable policies. He emphasized that the lessons learned from Ningxia could serve as a valuable foundation for future cooperation between Somalia and China, opening pathways for progress in energy, industry, and economic development.
“Somalia aims to build a modern energy sector, create new industrial opportunities, and accelerate job creation for the country’s youth, who are the backbone of the nation’s future, through advanced technology and foreign investment,” said Prime Minister Hamza Abdi Barre.
