Mogadishu (SONNA) – The Federal Government of Somalia has announced that Prime Minister Hamza Abdi Barre is visiting Las Anod, the capital of the Sool region, in a bid to promote national unity and peacebuilding efforts.
Government Spokesperson Farhan Jimale stated that the Prime Minister’s trip emphasizes the government’s commitment to fostering reconciliation and strengthening solidarity among Somalis. During his stay, PM Barre is scheduled to hold high-level discussions with leaders of the Khatumo Administration, local elders, and intellectuals to explore avenues for enhanced cooperation and stability.
In addition to political engagement, the Prime Minister will assess the region’s security, economic conditions, and ongoing development initiatives. As part of his visit, he will also inaugurate key government-led infrastructure projects aimed at improving livelihoods in the area.
This visit marks a significant step in the federal government’s efforts to consolidate peace and accelerate development in Somalia’s regions.
