Mogadishu(SONNA)-President of the Federal Republic of Somalia, H.E. Mohamed Abdullahi Farmajo and Prime Minister, H.E. Mohamed Hussein Roble on Saturday received the high level delegation who were in Hague for the conclusion of the judgement made by the United Nations’ court of Justice.
Both officials congratulated the delegation on the success and national service they did during the maritime case between Somalia and Kenya.
“The Court’s judgement was long struggle based on justice with far-sightedness, knowledge, courage, patriotism and protecting the trust and defending the country and people. The struggle won”, President Farmajo said during the meeting with the delagation headed by Deputy Prime Minister, Mahdi Mohamed Guled.
This comes as the International Court of Justice concluded its judgement and gave Somalia the right to control much of the 100,000 square kilometers of the Indian Ocean following a dispute with its neighbor, Kenya on October 12, 2021. Somalia called on Kenya to respect the court verdict.
