Mogadishu, (SONNA) – The President of the Federal Republic of Somalia, H.E Hassan Sheikh Mohamud who spoke at the 5th session of the joint Parliament discussed in different topics including the current reconciliation process by the Ethiopian government, the constitution, Al-Shabaab terrorists and more others.
The President said that Ethiopia is seeking reconciliation with Somalia through other countries but its actions do not indicate ways to peace.
The President pointed out that Somalia is open to peaceful relations with neighbouring countries while reaffirming the commitment to protect the nation’s sovereignty and territorial integrity.
During his speech at the opening of the joint session of the Federal Parliament’s 5th session, President Hassan emphasised the importance of completing the provisional constitution as a crucial step towards good governance and democracy.
The President told the bicameral Federal Parliament that stabilisation programs have been launched in liberated areas to enhance the delivery of basic public services.
President Mohamud also reiterated that the government is not in talks or any dialogue with the Al-Shabaab terrorists.
