Mogadishu, (SONNA) — The President of the Federal Republic of Somalia, H.E. Hassan Sheikh Mohamud received a delegation led by the Minister of State for Foreign Affairs of the United Arab Emirates, H.E. Sheikh Shakhboot bin Nahyan.
Discussions focused on strengthening the brotherly relations and deep-rooted cooperation between the two countries, with particular attention to economic and security sectors.
During the meeting, the Minister of State delivered a special message from the President of the United Arab Emirates, H.H. Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, to President Mohamud.
President Hassan Sheikh expressed his gratitude for the visit and the continued support of the UAE government and people to Somalia. He also conveyed a message to President Mohamed bin Zayed, reaffirming Somalia’s commitment to further deepen its partnership with the UAE while highlighting ongoing national efforts towards peace, democratization, and development.
