Adale, Hirshabelle State – Somali President Hassan Sheikh Mohamud is spending his second day in Adale District, Hirshabelle State, where he is actively overseeing military operations aimed at eliminating the Khawarij. The President’s extended visit highlights the government’s dedication to securing the region and eradicating the militant threat.

During his stay, President Mohamud inspected battlefronts and military command centers, engaging with Armed Forces veterans, local leaders, and community members. He emphasized the importance of building on recent successes in the fight against terrorism, commending the progress made so far.

Recent operations have seen significant victories, with over 80 senior Khawarij leaders and militias killed and their hideouts destroyed. These achievements have severely weakened the group’s ability to plot and carry out attacks, marking a critical step forward in the campaign to restore peace and stability.

President Mohamud’s hands-on approach in Adale demonstrates his commitment to leading from the frontlines. His meetings with military officials and local communities aim to strengthen coordination and morale, ensuring the continued success of the operations.
