Mogadishu, (SONNA) — The President of the Federal Republic of Somalia, H.E. Hassan Sheikh Mohamud, today inaugurated the new Intelligence and Reconnaissance Center of the Somali National Army, built with modern facilities to strengthen national defense and security capabilities.
As Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, the President described the center as a symbol of the government’s efforts to develop defense institutions. He noted that the advanced technology installed at the facility will significantly support military operations and national strategic planning.
President Hassan Sheikh praised the Ministry of Defence and the Somali National Army Command for their continuous efforts, emphasizing that every achievement reflects the resilience of the Somali people and the bravery of their forces.
Following the inauguration, the President visited the Ministry of Defence, where he received a detailed briefing on the successes of the Somali Armed Forces and Popular Forces in key battlefronts, particularly in Galgaduud and Lower Shabelle regions, where troops have dealt significant blows to terrorist groups.
