Mogadishu, (SONNA) – The President of the Federal Republic of Somalia, H.E Hassan Sheikh Mohamud, has congratulated Dr. Aadan Cabdullaahi Aw-Xasan on his election as Speaker of the Parliament of the North Eastern State of Somalia.
The President described the election as an important step in strengthening state-building and the institutions that serve the interests of the people and the development of the region.
“I wish the new Speaker success in carrying out the heavy responsibilities entrusted to him, confident that he will play a key role in advancing governance, completing the electoral process, and upholding the rule of law,” President Hassan Sheikh said.
The President also commended the parliamentarians of the North Eastern State and wished them success in completing the remaining tasks of the electoral process and state-building.
